Publishing my Memoir

I haven’t done an update on my memoir The Bipolar Writer in a while. I am almost organized with my first official draft. I wrote every chapter out-of-order and I didn’t actually believe that there would be order to my memoir. It turns out it is a lot like my blog, and that isn’t a bad thing.

I have been looking and talking to a few self-publishing sites. I have worked on a freelance project for a local writer and it has shed some light on how to self-publish. I think for me its the best way to get my memoir out there. I am going to have to work on a lot of freelance work, which is fine with me. I am so close to getting my bachelors degree, and after that I will have so much more free time.

Still, self-publishing is going to get expensive. I will need to upgrade my site so that I can sell my work on my page. I hate asking because, well, if I give it time I can save up the few grand it will take. I am already about a fourth of the way on my own in just the past month.

I am adding a button to my blog. One that will allow, if you can, to donate money towards my publishing my memoir. Every penny will go towards this goal. I hate asking because I have always done things on my own. But, I have seen over the course of running my blog that my fellow bloggers are amazing people. Because of the community I was able to purchase an iPad which has made writing and putting together my memoir that much easier.

That’s it. If you can help this struggling writer it would mean the world to me. If you can’t I understand that too. I Thank all those who read this blog post.

Upgrading The Bipolar Writer Blog to Business

I am looking to expand The Bipolar Writer blog to new territories that include having the blog sell books for other artists (if I can make everything work). I am also looking to sell my own book here on my blog. I hate asking for donations but I have to do what I can.
