If You Ever Need The Bipolar Writer

I am doing something unorthodox today here on The Bipolar Writer. I hope that I have created a place where my fellow mental health suffer’s can have a “safe place” to discuss their own issues. I often get emails from many who are seeking help or guidance or just want to talk about things. I want everyone who comes to this blog to know that if you are suicidal there is always someone here, I am always here to talk.

The unorthodox part is that today I am going to give my number to my followers, if you are suicidal and you don’t want to reach out to help-lines (I have learned recently that they are not always great.) So, if you need to chat you can text me anytime. I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible. As a mental health advocate and someone who has been through the worst parts of mental illness alone, I want you to know I am a lifeline.

831-287-4369.

You are not alone. Suicide is not the answer. Again, I am always here to talk anytime.

Always Keep Fighting

  1. I kind of want to follow your lead and leave my number buy I’m only conflicted because I would hate for someone to harass me. That’s paranoia but it is also real.

  2. Major props!!! You’re amazing! What you just did may end up saving someone’s life and that’s a beautiful thing in this mental health community. I’m so inspired by your courage to put yourself out there like you have. Did I tell you that you’re amazing? This made me literally tear up. So great, just great… wow. ❤️❤️❤️

  3. It might be worth adding the caveat that you’ll respond as soon as you are able to, since no one person is going to be able to respond immediately 24/7. That should be implied, but when it comes to suicide it’s probably worth being explicit.

    1. I don’t consider it brave but a necessary thing. If I am truly to seek out and help people who are suicidal, one of my major goals of my blog and memoir, then I must put myself out there. Thank you for your kind words!

    1. I do. I want to be able to be there for those who are dealing with suicidal thoughts. I have been there and barley survived. I know what it means to go through that alone and it is not a great feeling.

    1. I am sorry to hear. Relapses into self-harm is very common. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You will fight these thoughts. Let me know if you need someone to talk to, I am always here.
