Reasons To Live

It is completely acceptable to stay alive for tiny reasons. Because you want to hear your favorite song one more time. Because your pet will miss you if you leave. The moon is just too pretty to never see. The beautiful sunsets are just too precious to never see again. Because you haven’t seen the next season of a really good TV show. Because you want to see the Christmas lights this year. If you are alive, you are doing enough.

So we push, to tear down the walls. Of the box that life has left us in to keep us away. And now we push to stay together. Know that nobody is going to save us from ourselves. The bad memories will knock us down. The good memories will lift us up. If you are surviving, just know that I am proud of you.

Thank you for being with me. Let us rebuild a healthy state of mind.

Love, Francesca.

  1. I wish several of my friends had thought of those things before they took their life. My reason has always been my son. We are both bi-polar ad he is a cutter. I dont want to give him permission to opt out of life just because …if I chose to. I can’t allow that. That is not the example I will leave him with.

    1. I am bipolar as well and a cutter. Maybe if you can try to counsel him to find other copying mechanism. Other than cutting. Thank you for holding on and believing in both your son and yourself. Sometimes we need little reminders – to let us know that we are worth it. So that when our regal crowns fall – others can help adjust it. I wish you guys the very best. And I am sorry for your loss.

  2. The thing that keeps me going is my daughter. She’s an adult but I hate to think about what it would do to her.
