Join James Edgar Skye on Patreon

I launched my Patreon account back in April of 2019, but I was not ready to start a site that allows people into my writing, I am now prepared to put myself out there again. It was a great idea, but not many people can or have the money to be a part of my writing process.

The Bipolar Writer: A Memoir

My memoir is about the first ten to eleven years of my diagnosis as Bipolar One. It revolves around the experiences that I had from 2007 to 2017. I wrote it as if I was sitting as a coffee shop with you, the reader, having a conversation. The memoir is very personal, and you get to see who James Edgar Skye and The Bipolar Writer became what he is today.

My Dark Thoughts Weekend

The thoughts that I wish were in the past, but I am unsure of myself when things are this bad. This weekend was scary. I was not myself. I was going through the motions knowing where my mind was, and today it took me over. Those thoughts that I cannot even speak because then it becomes real.

The Dark Passenger

First, I like the thematical element. My depression has always felt like it comes into my life, always at the wrong times. It is a part of me, but as I learned over time, it can go for periods of my life. The idea that depression is this thing in my mind means I can fight it and eventually leave me.

I’m Not Okay, The Return of my Dark Passenger

Things have not been good. Yesterday was six months since the passing of my mother. I thought, okay, if I could get through today, then tonight, and I would be okay. I even hung out with a friend, but it wasn’t enough. About midnight, I felt the need more potent than ever, and I drove to the store that is less than half a mile.

Let’s Have A Zoom Party/Mental Health Discussion Today!

ast Saturday, I held a Zoom party for a mental health discussion that was a fantastic melting of the minds. It was a lively discussion, and it went on for three hours. I was so amazed at the dialogue that we were able to have together.

It’s Time The Bipolar Writer Talks to Men About Men’s Mental Health

I get to some degree. “We’re guys we are supposed to be tough.” Hell, I have been the type of guy that said that guys just don’t mental health. A common sentiment, but I decided the folly of that way of thinking. I now come from the school of thought of being authentic in what I write. I want to implore guys to become a part of the conversation.
